We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies
such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.
We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as
well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and
guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.
Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.
Located in the heart of the Providence Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald Family Room provides the parents and immediate family of children being treated in the hospital, with a place for respite and relaxation within the walls of a hospital.
When a child is critically ill, parents are reluctant to leave their side. By offering a calm and quiet place for relaxation, the room replicates a home-like atmosphere when a parent needs a break from the "hospital environment." Families are invited to stop by to have something to eat free of charge, check their email, watch TV, read the newspaper or connect with other families with similar circumstances.
Benefits:
Families who travel far from home for medical care
Local families with limited transportation
Offers a quiet area for individuals who may need to be alone
Helps families feel welcomed and supported
Provides a valuable service to local families
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is available from 9a.m. to 9p.m. seven days a week. The Family Room is primarily supported and maintained by Providence Children’s Hospital and also by private and corporate donations. Food and snacks are available when a volunteer is present.
